chair no. 1

Comissioning craftsmen in their area of expertise for a project is a huge pleasure. I work with some talented people. Dan Hussey is a wonderful woodworker.  He coppices Ash in a local woodland, steams it and hand builds his chairs in his one man workshop. 

This is his Chair No. 1 

I finished it in a white wax oil to go with the shutters and table I comissioned him to make for the Bathroom I was designing.
